Two prominent frontline breast cancer (BC) chemotherapies commonly used in combination, doxorubicin (DOX) and docetaxel (TAX), are associated with long-lasting cardiometabolic and musculoskeletal side effects. Whereas DOX has been linked to mitochondrial dysfunction, mechanisms underlying TAX-induced myotoxicities remain uncertain.
