Pharmacokinetics of difloxacin (DF), a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, were investigated in Japanese quails (Coturnix japonica) after a single intravenous (IV) and oral (PO) administration of 10 mg/kg bodyweight. Plasma concentration profiles of DF were analyzed by a compartmental pharmacokinetic method.
